KANSAS CITY –There is a large police presence in Riverside this morning after what the Missouri Highway Patrol is calling an officer- involved shooting.
The Platte County Sheriff's office says the shooting is related to 43-year-old George Manning. Manning was at large following an AMBER Alert issued for a five-year-old girl, who police say George Manning abducted after shooting at least one person in the Northland last night.
The girl was located safe earlier this morning. The condition of George Manning is unclear at this time. Police say there is no active, ongoing threat to the public.
