KANSAS CITY - St. Clair County Animal Services in Belleville is requesting assistance from other organizations--Belleville Humane Society, Gateway Pet Guardians and others--as it puts together an emergency evacuation plan to relocate 42 animals. The creek behind the facility is rising.

In July 2022, the facility flooded, leaving dogs standing in high water or swimming for their lives. They hope to get all the animals out of the shelter before that happens.
