KANSAS CITY – Kansas will remain one of just a few states that still outlaws marijuana.
Most of the country has gone a different direction with cannabis, a patchwork of legal uses across the nation, including medicinal, recreational, CBD with THC only, or just entirely de-criminalizing it.
There were a handful of bills to legalize marijuana in some fashion introduced at the State Capitol this legislative session, but as the Topeka Capital-Journal reports, none got a hearing or a vote.
So Kansas - for now - will remain with Idaho, Wyoming and South Carolina as the only states where cannabis use in any form remains illegal.
