KANSAS CITY - A 79-year-old Clearwater woman was killed Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Wichita.
It happened just before 7 p.m., at K-42 and Tyler. Sedgwick County authorities say a vehicle that was eastbound on K-42 made a left turn onto Tyler and struck a westbound vehicle.
The victim and a 79-year-old man also from Clearwater, were in the westbound vehicle. The woman died at the scene and the man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The 24-year-old man who was attempting to turn had minor injuries but refused treatment.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
