Kansas City, MO – As the long-awaited sequel "Top Gun: Maverick" soars in theaters, Dana and Parks got their very own call signs from a friend of the show, US Navy Commander Jesse Reed, ret., a real-life Top Gun pilot.
"As a reminder, call signs are never flattering," Reed warned jokingly. "They always take either a story that, you know, 'the fish was this big' and we make it this much bigger, and the more you squirm as you get it, the more guaranteed it is to stick."
Reed had a lot of ammunition coming up with a list of call signs for Dana, but he had to think a little harder to find something hilarious for Parks.
