KANSAS CITY - Tiffany Hedrick, the Director of Poppy's Playhouse 2, has been indicted on Murder in the 2nd, Armed Criminal Action and Abuse or Neglect of a Child Resulting in Death according to a statement from Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Trisha Sefanski.
Hedrick's arrest has not been made publicly available at the time her charges were announced. KMOX has put in a sunshine request for the grand jury indictment.
According to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the father, 3-year-old Conrad Ashcraft was resisting nap time on May 16th when Hedrick placed him face down, laid a 18 lb weighted blanket over him and placed her legs on top of Ashcraft to restrain him. He was later found dead when a parent came to pick him up.
Hedrick has been arrested by St. Francois County Sheriff's Department according to a statement from their office.
