FBI agent shoots and kills a suspect while serving a warrant in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY - The FBI says one of its agents shot and killed a man while serving a sexual exploitation warrant in the Northland.

The fatal incident happened shortly before 10:00 Monday morning in the 3000 block of NW 73rd Street in Kansas City, in a neighborhood east of Lake Waukomis.

The FBI released a statement saying the agent entered a home and was confronted by an armed suspect. Neighbors say they heard seven or eight shots. The suspect died at the scene.

The search warrant was in conjunction with the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

The deceased suspect has been identified as 49-year-old Ethan Michael Gosch. The FBI says it is reviewing this agent involved shooting and at this point, it will provide no other information.
