KANSAS CITY - A domestic disturbance call in Hutchinson led to the arrest of a 23-year-old man for assault and attempted murder.
According to Hutchinson police it started around 4:15 p.m. just south of the fairgrounds. A woman was found injured near the scene and taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
A man had barricaded himself inside a nearby home and would not cooperate with officers. SWAT was called in and was able to enter the home.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and other crimes.
