KANSAS CITY - Independence police say they're investigating after a seven-year-old boy died Wednesday evening under mysterious circumstances.

Officers say the boy was found dead in a home near 32nd Street and Crysler Avenue, which is a residence they've visited several times over the years, and once labeled it a "disorderly residence" due to the multiple complaints.

Grandparents say the boy's name was Yzekiel and they often drove him and his siblings to school and delivered groceries to them. Neighbors said about five people live at the home.

The boy who died attended a school in the Independence District. His cause of death is pending autopsy results.
