Jackson County, MO: Last minute voting options, plus county voting stats

Kansas City, MO – The Jackson County, Missouri election board has released detailed information for county residents who have yet to vote early or plan to vote on Election Day.

In-person Absentee voting will be held TODAY from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Absentee voting requires that you have a REASON for voting absentee.
Anyone who is 65 or older automatically qualifies to vote Absentee because they are in an at-risk category for COVID-19.
The Absentee Voting Office is at 110 N. Liberty, Independence.


Curbside voting is available only for disabled and immunocompromised voters Monday/today from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 110 N. Liberty, Independence.

The Jackson County Election Board will have special accommodations on Election Day for individuals who have tested positive or who are quarantining because of COVID-19.
Drive-through voting for these voters will be available on Election Day from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. behind the Absentee Office at 110 N Liberty in Independence.
Any voter who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has an absentee or mail-in ballot that needs notarization may also use the special drive-through.

Only Kansas City residents who live in Jackson County can vote at Arrowhead Stadium. 
Voters in Raytown, Grandview, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Independence, Oak Grove, Grain Valley, Lone Jack, etc. in Eastern Jackson County must do their absentee voting at 110 N Liberty in Independence.

If you've requested a MAIL-IN ballot (one that did not require a reason for requesting it), you may go to the Independence Post Office on Lexington Street and ask the post office to "hand cancel" the ballot envelope so that it goes directly into our post office box and doesn't have to travel.

Voters can drop off their Absentee ballot TODAY or on ELECTION DAY at the Absentee Office at 110 N Liberty from 6am until 7pm.
There is no drop box.
You must go in and present your ID.

The Election Board must receive your ballot by 7pm on Election Day.

**Voters who live in JACKSON COUNTY – BUT NOT IN KANSAS CITY - can find their polling location and their sample ballot on our website at www.jcebmo.org. Click on "VOTER LOOKUP."

**Voters who live in KANSAS CITY need to consult the KANSAS CITY ELECTION BOARD at www.kceb.org.

MAKE A PLAN - All polls in Jackson County open tomorrow at 6am and close at 7pm.
If you are in line at 7pm you WILL be able to vote.
Know your polling location, please wear a mask and bring your ID and your patience and know how you plan to vote before you get there.
