Johnson Co, KS – By a large margin, residents of Johnson County have voted to repeal a law requiring bars and taverns to have food make up 30% of their sales.
Bars in the county, especially micro-breweries, have bristled at the law, seeing it as restrictive.
In the final unofficial count by the JOCO election office, the yes vote totaled 253,808 for 75.5% of the total. The no vote to keep the law in place garnered 72,581 votes.
