Wichita, KS – An Amber Alert issued across central Kansas for a missing five-year-old boy was canceled late Thursday evening. A spokesman with the Rose Hill police department says Brixton Sisk was found in Oklahoma and was safe.

Police say just before 3:00pm on Thursday, a woman identified as the boy’s mother, Danielle Banzet, 31, went into Rosehill Elementary School's day care, posing as a social worker.

Banzet, who had her parental rights severed by the court, took the boy, left the school and got into a large SUV, driven by an unknown man, who police say may be Brixton's biological father.

They later switched to another vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, which was found abandoned in Cowley County.

Charges against the couple are expected to be filed now in both Oklahoma and Kansas.
