Kansas man, two others, killed in Nebraska plane crash

A Moundridge, Kansas man was one of three victims of a small plane crash in Nebraska Friday.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said the aircraft was flying along the Platte River, south of Fremont, when it crashed into the river shortly after 8 p.m.

The three victims have been identified as Daniel Williams, 43, of Moundridge, Jeff Bittinger, 50, and Randy Amrein, 48, both of Fremont, Nebraska.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate why the plane went down.
