KANSAS CITY – Brand new winter coats, purchased through generous donations to the annual KMBZ Coats for Kids campaign, are being distributed to children in need at schools across Kansas City.

This season's effort resulted in gathering the most cash ever in this annual campaign. More individual donors than ever before gave to help bundle up kids against the winter's cold.
With additional help from our partner Pinnacle Bank, more than 2,000 kids are getting new coats this winter.

Coats for Kids 2023 took in nearly $54,000 dollars, which Operation Warm used to buy brand new coats for kids of all ages. That amount translates into 2,143 new coats.

The coats are being distributed in these first two weeks of January - perfect timing as temperatures plummet in KC - to children at participating schools in these districts: Kansas City, MO; Kansas City, KS; Independence; Hickman Mills C-1; Center Schools
