KC's Mayor Lucas promises more security for potential Super Bowl celebration, prompted by last year's shooting

KANSAS CITY -  Mayor Quinton Lucas joined Kansas City’s Morning News today, where he talked about the Chiefs aiming for their third straight Super Bowl victory.

After last year’s Super Bowl parade shooting, Lucas says there will still be a celebration downtown that’s welcoming to all if the Chiefs three-peat, but there will be changes, with security at the forefront.

Lucas also talked about the first week of the Trump administration; hiring overnight security for the city’s entertainment districts; and inviting people from all around the country to come to Kansas City, where there are many employment opportunities, including public service jobs.
