Eight people were injured after a boat crashed into a house in Lake of the Ozarks Saturday night.

The crash happened just before midnight at the 1-point-3 Mile Marker. The Highway Patrol said the powerboat hit the shoreline, struck a home, flipped over and threw everyone out, injuring the eight people in the boat, some severely.

Authorities arrested the driver, 46-year-old Adam J. Ramirez of Huntington Beach, California. He's been charged with boating while intoxicated, resulting in serious physical injury.

The house sustained significant damage. The Highway Patrol is investigating, using a drone to reconstruct the scene.
