KANSAS CITY – A 46-year-old Lenexa woman is now facing criminal charges for a fatal weekend car crash.

Amy Dawn Crouch has been charged in Johnson County District Court with 2nd Degree Murder.

Police say Crouch was driving a Ford Bronco that went through a stop sign and crashed into a Toyota RAV4 just after 11pm Friday night, at the intersection of West 89th Terrace and Park Street.

The driver of the Toyota, 48-year-old Tsige Mesfin of Shawnee, was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, Crouch was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. A passenger in Crouch’s vehicle was not hurt.
