RE: Death Investigation at Gilster Marylee Cereal Plant

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 3:06 pm, the Perryville Police Department officers were detailed to the Gilster Marylee Cereal Plant in the 600 block of Old St. Marys Road for a male stuck in an industrial oven that was shut down.

Coroner Meghan Ellis said, "OSHA has been contacted concerning this accident and will be conducting its investigation. Our offices will work with them to determine how this occurred."
