LISTEN: Mayor Lucas says KC to work aggressively to keep the Royals in Missouri

KANSAS CITY -  Mayor Quinton Lucas joined Kansas City’s Morning News today, where he said he had talks with the Royals last week about stadium plans and those discussions will continue as they aggressively try to keep the team in Missouri.

The Royals are said to be looking at 3 possible sites. One in downtown KC, another in North Kansas City and the other in Overland Park, Kansas.

Lucas also talked about the Chiefs' decision to build a new stadium in Kansas, saying it came down to money, with Kansas offering about $1.5-billion more than what the team would’ve received to stay in Missouri.
