KANSAS CITY – Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas is meeting with David Lopez, the owner of Manny’s Restaurant.
Lucas and Lopez will be discussing possible solutions to the rising crime, disruptions and parking issues in the Crossroads district.
Lopez recently told KMBC 9 News that the incidents from car break-ins and property damage to illegal sideshows and parking issues is pushing his business to a breaking point after 45 years, where he may need to close or relocate.
Lopez is asking for increased police presence on weekends.
Mayor Lucas today will also attend a meeting in efforts to resolve parking concerns in the Crossroads and also throughout Kansas City's Downtown and River Market Districts.
