Missing autistic man found safely in Kansas City by 'Dana and Parks' listeners

22 year old Thomas Maguire, an autistic man missing from Prairie Village, KS has been found safely

Kansas City, MO – A young autistic man missing for more than a day from his Prairie Village home in the Kansas City Metro has been found safely.

The Prairie Village Police Department put out the call for help to find Mcguire, who had been last seen Tuesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, the police had mounted a wide search for Mcguire, including the use of a helicopter.

Dana Wright and Scott Parks of the Dana and Parks Show on KMBZ were discussing the search live on the air and the need to find Maguire when a caller, Ron from Raytown, said he had just stumbled onto Mcguire, and that another listener was also with him. Listen to the riveting call when Mcguire was found:

The Prairie Village Police department tweeted shortly after: "We have located McGuire!! He is safe and we are transporting his family now to pick him up. The power of social media in this case was overwhelming! Thank you to all the local law enforcement officers, community members, and media who worked tirelessly to search!"

It appears that Mcguire was found several miles from his home, and had crossed stateline into Missouri, and was found near Raytown Road and I-470.
