KANSAS CITY – Kansas City Police are investigating a fatal hit and run, that left one person dead.
Authorities say just after 8pm Monday night, a pedestrian was crossing East 12th Street at South Grand Boulevard when he was hit by a gold four door sedan. After hitting the pedestrian, the driver took off in an unknown direction.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 816-474-TIPS.
This is the fifth traffic related fatality of the year in Kansas City.
