KANSAS CITY - Wichita police have identified the man whose body was found in a private pond in the northeast part of Wichita Saturday afternoon as 37-year-old William Alberts.
The body did not show any obvious signs of trauma.
A person who was fishing found the body in a pond near the 1800 block of N. Garnett, south of 21st Street North & 127th East; the pond is on property owned by Wichita Trinity Academy.
It appeared the body had been in the water for a while.
The pond is near the Redbud Trail, a popular biking and walking trail.
