KANSAS CITY – Nearly two weeks ago, 75 percent of Missouri was undergoing some form of drought.

Thanks to recent heavy rains and even flooding, the latest maps show a complete flip-flop.
Now, only about 30 percent of the state is experiencing any level of drought. Seventy percent is seeing no drought conditions at all.

The Southeastern part of Missouri remains the driest, still dealing with moderate drought conditions.

Southernmost Illinois is also having some lingering moderate conditions, but the rest of the state is showing no signs of drought after the storms in recent weeks.
