KANSAS CITY - At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will look at guidelines for renters and rental landlords. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News people "want to know they can get safe, available spaces to rent." Wu says she wants to be fair and looking at both sides of the issue.
The Wichita City Council will be asked to approve $2 million to convert the former downtown city library building into an event venue. Mayor Wu says this "opens it up" for anyone to come forward with ideas for the first floor of the building. Wu says the space can generate some dollars for the City, as it is rented to the public and that money will help with further renovation of the building.
Wu commented ruing Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
