Salina teen dies in shooting, another teen arrested

KANSAS CITY - A 14-year-old boy died from his injuries following a shooting at a south Salina home Friday night.

Just after 9:40 p.m., Police were dispatched to a shooting in the 100 block of Raleigh Street.

When officers arrived, they found the teen with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died around 24 hours later at a Wichita hospital.

A 15-year-old boy who knew the victim was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and criminal use of a weapon.

The incident remains under investigation.
