KANSAS CITY - St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City in Southwest Kansas was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning following the arrival of gunshot victims.
Two shooting victims initially arrived at the hospital, dropped off by a private vehicle.
At about 5:30 a.m., officers were called to an incident in the 1400 block of Buffalo Jones, where there was a victim with a gunshot wound. That person was hospitalized in serious condition, shortly after the two other gunshot victims.
All three victims were then transported to a Wichita hospital in serious condition.
The Garden City police department said: "We're aware of social media rumors regarding an active shooter at the hospital due to the lockdown, and these reports are false - at no point was there an active shooter incident at the hospital."
GCPD is still trying to determine if the shootings are connected.
