Kansas City, MO - A little patience could be just what the doctor ordered for parents trying to make covid vaccine appointments for their kids.

"There is going to be a mad rush, and there will be a vaccine increase," said Dr. Natasha Burgert a pediatrician in Overland Park, KS.

The rush will likely last for a week or two, while kid vaccines are rolled out to pediatricians and family practices.

Try local pharmacy or grocery stores for appointments, says Dr. Burgert, as they are having doses delivered more quickly.

"There's going to be a large section of parents with questions and they will want to talk to their pediatrician about concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine," said Burgert.

Dr. Burgert wants to remind parents even if their kids are vaccinated, the pandemic is not over yet.
