St. Louis, MO – The suspect in the shooting of two eastern Missouri police officers gave up to law enforcement after a standoff in a house Monday afternoon.
Kenneth Simpson, 35, was wanted for killing one officer, wounding another, late Sunday evening in Hermann, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a Blue Alert shortly after officers were shot at a Casey's on Market Street in Hermann.
Hermann Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith died. The second officer was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
