KANSAS CITY – As the search continues in Missouri and elsewhere for a missing pregnant Wisconsin teen and the man who is the father, federal authorities could soon be taking over the investigation.

According to WMTV 15 News, the case could soon be in the hands of the United States Marshals Service.

Sixteen-year-old Sophia Franklin disappeared from her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on February 2nd. She’s thought to be traveling with 40-year-old Gary Day, the father of her unborn child. Franklin is now about four months pregnant.

There is a no contact order between Franklin and Day; and Day is now charged with child enticement and child abduction.

Authorities believe the two may be traveling in a black Buick LaCross. It could have a Pennslyvania license plate KGW5186 or an Arkansas license plate BBR20L.
