KANSAS CITY - While the budget is balanced for the next two years, there is a projected four million-dollar deficit in 2028. It's a 778 million-dollar spending plan, balanced the next two years, but showing a 4 million-dollar shorfall in 2029.
Over the weekend two more teenagers were shot in Wichita. It's been a fairly common occurrance this summer, teens shooting teens. Wichita Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News there are people and programs in place to combat teens and gun violence, but good citizenship begins in the home.
