The City of Wichita and Sedgwick County are seeking public input for Imagine ICT!, a comprehensive parks and recreation master plan that will shape the region's green spaces and programs for years to come.

The year-long planning effort will gather community priorities through pop-up events, an open house, and a statistically valid survey. A consulting team will also evaluate how local parks compare to similar communities nationwide.

Public feedback opportunities include:

Pop-Up Events:

Winter Wonderland: 6-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5, 601 E. Douglas

Brewer Community Center Grand Opening: 9:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 1329 E. 16th St.

Sam's Club: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 3084 N. Maize Rd.

Watson's Christmas Express: 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, O.J. Watson Park

Walmart: 12-2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, 5475 N. Meridian

Walmart: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, 6110 W. Kellogg

Public Open House:

Boston Rec Center: 4:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, 6655 E. Zimmerly St. Randomly selected residents will receive a survey by mail in January, with a public version available in February.

"Our residents' voices are central to this process," said Reggie Davidson, Wichita Park & Recreation Director. "By participating, residents can directly influence the shared vision that will guide our park system for years to come."
