KANSAS CITY - The Wichita City Council will be discussing the city's new water treatment plant in their first meeting of 2026 later this week. Specifically delays in the opening of that plant. Wichita Mayor Lily Wu spoke on Woodward and Whitt's Mondays with the Mayor, adding that the Council will also discuss what the City will do with the current plant.
Mayor Wu also said the council would be discussing a tentative settlement in the city's lawsuit with Genesis Health Clubs over the Wichita Ice Center.
