Another winter storm predicted to drop inches of snow on Kansas City, bring bitter cold sub-zero temps

KANSAS CITY — Another winter storm is bearing down on the KC Metro - bringing several inches of snow and bitter cold temperartures.

The National Weather Service:
A Winter Storm Warning takes effect at midnight tonight for counties along and south of I-70, including the entire KC Metro.
5-10 inches of snow is possible from north to south.
A Winter Weather Advisory also takes effect at midnight tonight for areas between I-70 and highway 36 with 2-5 inches of snow possible.

Dangerous cold takes hold tonight through Thursday with wind chills as low as -25 degrees below zero expected.
