KANSAS CITY - A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the entire Kansas City Metro as a major system with snow and cold taking aim this week.
It’ll start with a chance for light snow tonight into tomorrow morning. Some places could see up to an inch of snow, although most will receive less or none at all.
However, a more impactful winter storm is expected for late Tuesday night through Wednesday night, with snowfall totals expected to range between 5 to 9 inches.
The Wednesday morning and evening commutes will be significantly impacted.
Additionally, colder conditions will affect the area this week, with the coldest conditions will settle in behind the departing winter storm on Thursday and Friiday morning when wind chill values will range from 0º to -10º each morning.
