KANSAS CITY - 19-year-old Markayla Marbley is identified as the shooter after firing into a fight between her brother and another man. An employee of the Walgreens in St. Louis attempting to break up the fight was also shot.
According to police on Friday, Marbley attempted to flee the scene of the shooting with her brother, only making it a block to Sarah and Lindell before they were spotted by responding officers.
The probable cause statement says Marbley admitted to attempting to shoot one of the men involved in the brawl. It alleges she continued to fire her handgun after the fight ended. As of Friday, Marbley's brother and the employee only suffered gunshot wounds to the leg while the man her brother was fighting was listed as being in critical but stable condition.
Marbley is facing two counts of first degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
