In the third quarter of their matchup with The Washington Football Team Sunday, Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow appears to have suffered a torn left ACL, per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. Within a few hours of being carted off of FedExField, Burrow took to social media with a message that seems to confirm that report, saying "see you next year."

It's an extremely disappointing finish to an otherwise spectacular rookie season for the No. 1 overall pick, who tossed 13 touchdowns to just five interceptions, and seemed to begin to change the culture in Cincinnati. Had he stayed healthy, Burrow would have found himself in a tight race with Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert and Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Justin Jefferson for the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Now, the 23-year-old will likely begin to prepare for knee surgery, which will not only end his 2020 season, but could threaten his ability to be ready for Week 1 of the 2021 season.

Throughout the day, some of the NFL's biggest stars - along with past and present teammates - took to social media to share support for Burrow:
