And if you follow either or both on Twitter, then you also know that they might be interested in another type of collab, the kind that involves dating each other.
Yup, last week the Houston Hottie and Miami native got their flit on, with Meg throwing the first shot. So, what do you think? Did it bounce off the backboard or was it nothing but net. Umm, it’s Megan Thee Stallion, so duh, just like every one of her singles, she never misses.
For those who didn’t catch the playful back and forth between the two and are simply parched to know the deets, here’s the tea to quench your thirst.
Like we said, Meg was the one who started the exchange, tweeting, “I was too shy to tell her in person but @YungMiami305 I wanna date.” Which Yung Miami responded to a quick 19 minutes later, letting Megan know that the feeling is mutual, “I been wanted you too, so what’s up?”
From there, the two went from exchanging words to exchanging emojis. And while both included lots of blushing and coy smiles, that part of the conversation could be left up to interpretation. Maybe they took their convo offline, or maybe and sorry to be a buzzkill, they we’re just playing, because despite their flirtatious tweets, both Yung Miami and Megan are in relationships.
Side bar, but also totally and completely related - For those concerned about what that means for Hot Girl Summer Pt. 2, you can put those worries away. Last week, Meg made it very clear, part two is a-comin’ despite her having a new boo, rapper Pardison Fontaine, who Meg praised for helping her strengthen her communication and showing her what a healthy relationship looks like. Hmmm… wonder who she’s comparing him to?
As for Yung Miami, while her IG feed screams I’m single, she’s been on and off with Producer and baby daddy Southside for almost two years. Making us think maybe they turned things back on, he recent showed his lady some love and support after Yung Miami had an awkward exchange with Lil Uzi Vert (who is currently dating JT - the other half of City Girls) on IG Live. Southside took it upon himself to defend his baby mama. And while he did use demeaning verbiage to do so, the intent was chivalrous, which makes us think it’s possible they’re back to being a thing.
So while this Twitter exchange might not lead to a romantic collaboration (at least not right now), maybe we’ll get a Hot Girl Summer musical one out of it.
