Ever since the debut of Billboard's top-selling vinyl chart in 2011, there has only been one artist to secure themselves all of the top five spots -- and it just happened this week!
Congratulations are in order for Metallica, making Billboard history with the special Walmart re-release of their early albums Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, ...And Justice For All, Metallica, and Hardwired...To Self-Destruct which hit shelves January 29 on colored vinyl.

Billboard made the special announcement Monday saying, "this is the first time that an artist has claimed the entire top 5" since its inception a decade ago.
Metallica was also on hand to close out the Super Bowl LV festivities this past Sunday, performing their classic "Enter Sandman" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert live from their California compound, surrounded by nostalgic amps from the band's storied career.
Today, February 10 marks what would have been the 59th birthday of late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, who was killed in a bus accident in 1986 while on tour. The County of Alameda in California will mark the day with a special "Cliff Burton Day" virtual celebration of the musician with a live stream beginning at 7PM PT.
It's worth noting that three of the top 5 vinyl albums mentioned above, Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, and Master Of Puppets each featured Burton's songwriting and performances. Happy birthday, Cliff.
