A memoir presents the opportunity to reflect on your life and share stories in an intimate manner. When you’re the frontman for one of the world’s biggest bands, it’s easy to imagine a sense of excitement coming over you as you share the most prolific moments of your career. For Mick Jagger, that’s not the case.

The Rolling Stones frontman was interviewed by BBC 6 Music and revealed he’s spent decades writing a memoir, but it’s not a process he enjoys.
"When I started, it was in the '80s. I was offered a lot of money and the money was the seductive part," Jagger said. "And when I started to actually get into it, I really didn't enjoy it. And what I didn't enjoy was reliving my life — the detriment of living in the now."
"If you want to write an autobiography, this is not a process you can just do in a week. It takes a lot out of you," Jagger added. "It takes a lot of reliving emotions, reliving friendships, reliving ups and downs and I must say that it wasn't the most enjoyable experience."
Jagger said the process of writing the memoir is “dull and upsetting” and he didn’t get “that many highs out of it.”
“I just didn’t enjoy the process,” he said.
In other news, Jagger is also getting in on the NFT craze. However, he’s doing so for a good cause.
Jagger announced a 24-hour auction on his Twitter account this past Thursday where he’s auctioning off an NFT based on his new song “Eazy Sleazy” with Dave Grohl.
Proceeds from the auction will help raise money for independent music venues in the United States and the United Kingdom including the National Independent Venue Association and Music Venue Trust. Additionally, part of the proceeds will go to benefit environmental causes.
