It was a family affair down at the "World’s Largest Honky Tonk," as Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth is affectionately known, during the famous and spacious venue's 40th-anniversary celebration over the weekend.

On Saturday, during Hank Williams Jr.'s headlining set, the Country icon was joined by singers Miranda Lambert and Kid Rock for an impromptu live collaboration.

Announcing Miranda on stage as a "Texas hero," Rock brought up Lambert to help Hank Jr., joined by his son Sam Williams, in singing his famous 1982 anthem "Family Tradition" for the enthusiastic crowd. Fans in attendance also provided a perfect sing-along as Hank Jr.'s band plucked away quietly to let their voices truly shine in a communal setting.

On Thursday, April 1, which was Billy Bob's Texas' official birthday, Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers took the stage, as the group had done 40 years prior at the venue's grand opening, and were presented with celebratory plaques during their set.

Billy Bob's Texas is a massive, 100,000 square foot venue and is leading the charge to get back to a sense of normalcy in the music business by offering socially distant, masks-recommended but not required concerts. Attendees are temperature checked at the door and are offered refunds for tickets right up until show time. Miranda Lambert is scheduled to perform her own run of sold-out shows at Billy Bob’s from April 22nd through 24th, as well as May 1st and 2nd.
