A new set of ads boasting that “Bidenomics ruined Christmas” have recently started rolling out from the National Republican Congressional Committee.
The NRCC started running the ads on Thursday in more than a dozen different Democratic lawmakers’ hometowns, a spokesperson for the committee shared with The Hill.
The lawmakers targeted by the ads include Democratic Reps. Angie Craig (MN), Mary Sattler Peltola (AK), Pat Ryan (N.Y.), Susie Lee (NV), Jahana Hayes (CN), Gabe Vasquez (N.M.), Jared Golden (ME), Yadira Caraveo (CO), and Matt Cartwright (PA).
The nonpartisan political handicapper Cook Political Report ranks each of the lawmakers’ districts as either “lean” or “likely” Democrat or “toss-up.”
“The Holidays are a time of reflection,” NRCC National press secretary Will Reinert said in a statement. “This year, we urge extreme House Democrats to consider the consequences of their radical policies and add ‘announcing their retirement’ to their list of New Year’s resolutions.”
Each of the ads is specialized to include a picture of each lawmaker next to the phrase “Bidenomics ruined Christmas” in Grinch-style font.
The ad also includes text that urges voters to tell the lawmakers “to stop supporting reckless government spending fueling inflation.”
This isn’t the first slam on Bidenomics made by the group, as it recently posted on social media that the president’s economic agenda has “made the American dream impossible.”
“Remember during this holiday season that Bidenomics hurt young and low-income Americans the most,” the NRCC shared
This was a similar sentiment that former President Donald Trump shared in New Hampshire over the weekend when he said that Biden “killed the American dream.”
Despite the criticism, Biden has continued to promote the plan, sharing on Wednesday at the Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce that it will benefit everyone.
“When you increase the middle class, the poor have a shot, and the wealthy still do very well, the middle class does well, and we all do well,” Biden said, adding, “That’s what we call Bidenomics.”
