Baton Rouge, LA – U.S. Senate candidate Gary Chambers Jr. is setting things on fire with his latest campaign ad, by setting a Confederate flag ablaze.

Chambers is running for the U.S. Senate in Louisiana. He drew attention with his first campaign ad where he is seen smoking marijuana to illustrate more Black people are arrested for marijuana possession than anyone else.

In his newest campaign ad titled 'Scars and Bars', Chambers is seen hanging a Confederate flag on a clothesline, pouring gasoline on the flag and lighting it on fire as he talks about inequality for Blacks across the south.

“Here in Louisiana and all over the south, Jim Crow never really left, and the remnants of the Confederacy remain,” Chambers says in the ad.

“It is time to burn what remains of the Confederacy down. I do believe the South will rise again, but this time, it’ll be on our terms.”
