Trump says Taylor Swift was ‘booed out of the stadium’ during the Super Bowl

President Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend an NFL Super Bowl on Sunday night in New Orleans, and he shared his thoughts on the game and other celebrities who were present on social media afterwards.

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in a lopsided 22-40 contest on Sunday night, but Trump argued that the world’s most famous musician, Taylor Swift, had a “tougher night” than the Chiefs.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.“She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”

Swift, who is famously dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was seen on the broadcast and jumbotron several times throughout the night. Trump also appeared on screen during the national anthem.

While Trump received cheers from the crowd during his brief shot on screen, clips of Swift getting booed quickly circulated online, as she can be seen laughing it off while sitting next to fellow musician Ice Spice.

While Trump seemed to imply the boos for Swift were politically charged, the Associated Press noted that the crowd was pro-Philadelphia, and Swift has become an avid supporter and face for the Chiefs due to her relationship with Kelce.

However, Swift has been a vocal advocate for Trump’s political adversaries. During the last election, she endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris for president, saying, “She fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

She also endorsed former President Joe Biden when he ran for office against Trump in 2020.

Despite Trump taking a shot at Swift after the game, he predicted the Chiefs would win in an interview before the game in which he also praised Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Sticking to his political tendencies, Trump also walked the line, telling Fox News in the interview that he was a “big fan of both teams.”
