Nicki Minaj's father, Robert Maraj, was killed in a hit-and-run accident Friday.
According to TMZ, Nassau County Police in New York report that Maraj was walking on the road between Roslyn Road and Raff Avenue on Friday around 6pm ET when he was struck by a vehicle heading north.

Cops report that the driver fled the seen, and there have been no meaningful descriptions from witnesses to identify the person responsible.
Maraj passed away over the weekend after succumbing to injuries inflicted by the collision. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition on Friday.

Reps for Minaj did not immediately respond to TMZ's request for comment, and Minaj herself has yet to comment on the situation.
Based on photos of the two, it appears that Minaj and her father had a decent relationship, albeit rocky at times according to the rapper herself.
TMZ reports that Maraj was just 64 years old.
