K, lets do this. Compared to her break out hit “drivers license,” Olivia’s newest single is right on brand with its etherial maudlin lyrics. However this time around, with a slightly more up-beat tempo.

She’s still in the car, but this time on her way to Malibu, while eating strawberry ice cream. Once again addressing an ex, Olivia’s main concern is “when you gonna tell her, that we did that too,” as for who the “her” Rodrigo is referencing, well that has yet to be determined, but don’t worry we still got time.

Making the point to whoever this new chick is, Olivia is claiming to have been there and done that. Singing, “she thinks it’s special, but it’s all reused/That was our place, I found it first, I made the jokes, you tell to her.” And then begs the question, “Do you get deja vu when she’s with you?”

Clearly feeling bold off her “drivers license” chart topping high, Olivia goes on to ask, “Do you call her, and say my name.” Before giving us a clue in the next line, as to who she could be singing about, with the lyrics “Because lets be honest/ We kinda do sound the same/ Another actress/ I hate to think that I was just your type.”

Okay, were just gonna say it, is this about Joshua Bassett and Sabrina Carpenter again? Because if so… we don't wanna still be here for it, but… we're still here for it. So go forth O-Ro spread your wings and spill.

Olivia then goes on to reference her ex’s love for Billy Joel, with the following incredibly juicy and telling lyrics that we’re just gonna leave right here; “I bet that she knows Billy Joel, cause you played her 'Uptown Girl'/ You’re singing it together, now I bet you even tell her, how you love her in between the chorus and the verse.”

Nearing the end of the track, Olivia goes off on said mystery boy-man, giving us some major  Miley “7 Things I Hate About You” vibes, but of course in her own special sad girl way.

“Strawberry ice-cream in Malibu, don’t act like we didn’t do all that too/ You’re trading jackets, like we used to do/ Yeah, everything is all reused/ Play her piano, but she doesn’t know/ That I was the one who taught you Bill Joel/ A different girl now, but there's nothing new/ I know you get deja vu”

Okay, now it’s your turn to listen -

So what do we think? Another direct hit at Bassett and Carpenter? Well, if the song is non-fiction, then most likely yes. If not, or maybe if it’s the telling of another person’s experiences (which artists do it all the time) then that’s a no. But let’s be real, as much as we hate to admit it, we’re all secretly wishing it’s the first one.

Even so, as Olivia, who went live on YouTube minutes before her latest single’s release, announced that her debut album is complete, featuring a total of 11 songs, that one or two of which should for sure cover her Josh and Sabrina dramz.
