Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams may be a candidate for the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after his performance Thursday, but his status moving forward is murky.
Adams had 10 catches for 180 yards on Thursday Night Football, but a toe injury forced him to watch must of the fourth quarter from the sideline. Despite his best individual performance in 2019, and a 422-yard night from Aaron Rodgers, a late interception by Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham handed the Packers their first loss of the season.
After the game, Adams told the collective media, including Rob Demovksy of ESPN, that he didn't even want to attempt to put his right shoe on because his turf toe injury hurt too much.
David Chao of ProFootballDoc.com, a former NFL team docter, predicted that Adams will miss multiple games. The Packers have yet to issue an update on his status.
Things don't get easier for the Packers, as they'll travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys next week. The NFC North looks to be the best division in football, as the Packers now trail the 2-0-1 Detroit Lions, and the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are 2-1.
