Here’s something the Steelers didn’t need.

According to TMZ, wide receiver Chase Claypool was involved in a fight a week-and-a-half ago at a Southern California bar.

Sources tell TMZ the incident occurred on March 13 and started after an individual was throwing money at a woman inside the bar, igniting an argument.

The incident then moved outside where a fight broke out. Sources tell TMZ that Claypool was not the instigator but is seen in a video kicking a person in the face.

A woman in the video can be heard telling the combatants to “grow up.”

TMZ says the Costa Mesa Police received a call about the fight, but when they got to the scene, security told them that those involved had already left. No one has been charged in the incident.

People close to Claypool tell TMZ that the 6-foot-4, 238-pound receiver jumped in to help a friend, “like anyone would do.” TMZ has reached out to Claypool but has yet to receive a response.

Claypool had a great rookie year with the Steelers, playing in all 16 games with 62 catches for 873 yards and 9 touchdowns, including a four-touchdown outing against the Eagles.

Claypool’s most recent social media activity was him reacting to JuJu Smith-Schuster re-signing with the Steelers on a one-year deal.
