Rapper Tory Lanez has been charged by the Los Angeles County D.A.'s office with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle in connection with the shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion.
This comes hot on the heels of Lanez' release of an album worth of songs proclaiming his innocence, and a less than cryptic clap-back afterward from Megan on Instagram showing her sporting diamond encrusted rings spelling out “F*** YOU,” and the simple caption, “Mood.”
Lanez had been arrested following the shooting in July that left Megan limping and bloody on an L.A. street. At the time, Lanez was charged with possession of a firearm, but prosecutors are now saying Tory is the man who pulled the trigger.
The celeb sleuths at TMZ, who have video and photos from the night in question, posit that Lanez will likely claim the shooting was accidental.
