A Twitter Q&A with the owner of a baseball team isn't a common occurrence throughout history, so New York Mets owner Steve Cohen and Q&A moderator Wayne Randazzo decided to address the most important questions from fans in the 30-minute segment.

And when you hear Cohen's secondary response to the question, you'll probably be gripping your seats with excitement as to what the topic was and what his initial answer could have possibly been about.

"Well, you know, it is the most critical question that needed to be answered, more important than anything else we can even imagine," Cohen said. "And I'm sure that's gonna create controversy tomorrow or... probably right now, so I can't wait to see what my Twitter feed looks like."

What could that possibly mean? Are they not going to extend Francisco Lindor? Is Mr. Met no longer the mascot? Will David Wright's No. 5 uniform not be retired?

"Black jerseys... well, I can say with absolute certainty that the black jerseys are coming back," Cohen said (head to the 15-minute mark in the video below). "They'll come back for a few games this year, at some point, and you'll be able to buy those jerseys at some point after that, or, I'll leave that to my marketing people. But the black jerseys are coming back."

Though they're not included in RADIO.COM Sports' own Tim Kelly's list of the greatest uniforms in MLB history, the Twitter reaction was not one of controversy. In fact, pretty much everyone seemed excited for their return, including Mets starter Marcus Stroman.

This reaction and the feeling of nostalgia these jerseys bring to the fan base doesn't particularly surprise Cohen, either.

"No, not at all. I think people want to celebrate another example... of Mets history," Cohen said. "You know, the team performed well at that time and people have fond memories of that and I'm happy to accommodate the fans. Most of the fans want it, and the players want it... in fact, I'm going to have the players — you know, we have some designs — and I want the players to be involved in picking out the right design."

Pete Alonso, Michael Conforto, J.D. Davis, Dominic Smith and Stroman have all advocated for the return of the black jerseys, and they — along with a large chunk of the team's loyal followers — got exactly what they wanted on Monday night.
